Brendan Flynn, DO, FAAHPM, HMDC

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Flynn oversees the clinical operations for Blue Ridge Palliative Care Services, Blue Ridge Independence at Home, and Blue Ridge Hospice, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive medical care of the highest quality. Dr. Flynn is board-certified in Family Medicine as well as Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and has been practicing hospice and palliative medicine since 2005.

Heather Wallace, RN, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

As Nurse Practitioner, Heather is a key part of our care team, working closely with our patients to manage symptoms and improve quality of life. She will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and our patients’ healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans to help address physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.

Medical Social Worker

As our Medical Social Worker, Katie is here to support our patients and families with the emotional and practical challenges of serious illness, making sure they feel supported every step of the way. She helps connect patients with resources, provides counseling, and assists with navigating healthcare decisions or planning for the future.
